Over 100 expected to attend showcasing 20 exhibitors and a wide range of vendor products and services
Miami, Florida. January 9, 2016. The Minority Chamber of Commerce will hold its 29th quarterly Minority Small Business Expo & Conference and the event is scheduled on Thursday January 21, 2016 from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel located at 711 NW 72 Ave in Miami, FL. The theme this year is “Your Business, Your Opportunity”. Join Minority Small business Owners, Chamber executives, and government officials from across the country and state of Florida to Learn, Network, and Engage on the issues facing small business in South Florida.
“Minority entrepreneurs and their businesses are an important part of a vibrant economy in Miami Dade and Broward counties, and it is crucial that we foster and support the growth of these entrepreneurs,” said Chamber President & CEO Doug Mayorga. “The Minority Business Expo is a great opportunity to showcase the talent and trades available within the minority community.”
The expo will feature workshops offering expert knowledge on business strategies and government encounters. Participating firms will have the benefit of marketing their products/services to procurement representatives and small business specialists from government agencies. Companies may choose to set up an exhibit table to showcase their capabilities or simply come as an attendee.
Procurement officials are invited to attend the “Ethics in Procurement and Equal Opportunities for Minority Business Owners” from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Also will be announces a new national initiative for Minority Chamber: “The Minority Business Development American Supplier” which is designed to help bridge the gap between small, nimble businesses looking for new opportunities and large corporations looking for innovative new ideas and diversity in their supply chains.
As special presentation, Mr. Malik Ali, President of Minority Supplier Development Council North Florida, will be our Keynote Speaker for the event with “Selling into the Big Fortune 1000 Companies, Certification and Strategies”.
Registration for booths is still open through January 15th, but space is limited. Exhibit fees are $395 for no members which includes table, internet, and logo, database attendees, (2) lunch tickets and free parking. Members $295.All new members at the Minority Chamber of Commerce will have a complimentary VIP Booth. Marketing opportunities are available exclusively to Chamber members.
